    Downloading YouTube Videos

I'm really going to have to kill someone, again.

YouTube Video Downloader has stopped working!

The program opens up just fine but each time I attempt to download a video the play list reads "failed." This also occurs with other video websites as well.

Yes I did try uninstalling and reinstalling and restarting several times but with the same results.

For years I'd used Real Player to download videos from YouTube and other video sites but about a year and a half ago it stopped working for YouTube! This is why I switched to YouTube Video Downloader.

Has anyone else had this same problem with YouTube Video Downloader? Or can you recommend a better program?

    Thanks.

I tried downloading this program from the tread you directed me to but the program will not install.

    http://www.ant.com/video-downloader/...downloader.msi

It says, "The installation package could not be opened."

Where can I find Easy Youtube Video Downloader Express?

Any idea why YouTube downloader and Real Player have stopped working? I still use Real Player for non YouTube video sites just fine.

Alright. I'm confused. They're "add ons" to what? How do I add them on?

Firefox + Easy Youtube Video Downloader Express
As Shinma said, it's a Firefox addon.

Alight, I did successfully use the add on Easy Youtube Video Downloader Express. I was shocked by just how fast it downloaded. Something can't be right, and sure enough it wasn't the video and audio in the downloaded file do not match up. Similar problems only occurred in Real Play and YouTube Downloader when an excessive amount of long videos were attempted all at once.

So since Easy Youtube Video Downloader Express doesn't work is there a way to use Real Player or a better program? As I said, Real Player still works fine for other websites in IE. However in Firefox I cannot get it to appear at all. Yes, I did enable the add on in Firefox but the Real Player download option will not appear for any website.

When I attempt to download from Youtube with Real Player in IE the download appears to go fine until the file comes to it's end. Then I get the error, "Download incomplete. Refresh page and try again.

Is there a way to get Real Player to work in Firefox? Or get it to work in IE?

Try using Firefox with Download YouTube Videos as MP4. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...nload-youtube/
Hadn't used it for a while so I just tested it again. I downloaded a new video just uploaded Aug 21. It worked fine. It's the simplest thing I've found. Doesn't have tons of options but that's also why I like it the best.

YT has stopped using the Flashplayer and now has the format HTML5. Some of my old players and downloaders don't do that format.

I just added the Youtube-mp3 extension to my Firefox. Not only does it D/L very fast, but if you click another button, it converts the video to an mp3. I build CD's that way.

Haven't used RealPlayer in years. VLC plays all my video files.
