Ransomware and phishing scams tied to current events have been staples of criminal hackers for years, and the Windows 10 upgrade scam is the latest version

Windows 10 Free - Scam?
Info bar shows Windows icon. Chose and am presented with:17-08-2015-18-31-04.png
Is this the scam? If not sounds too good to be true!

That one is legit. The scams referred to above are sent by email or from links in/to shady websites.
You can use that to download Win 10 if you wish but I'd strongly suggest waiting a while..
