Removing an app
I want to remove an app that I had downloaded to a W8.1 pc. Can someone please tell me where in the Control Panel I find the means to do that -- the equivalent of Remove in XP? Thanks. wdc

Right-click Start button > Control Panel > Programs and Features
Right-click on the app you want to remove and click Uninstall
I prefer to use Geek Uninstaller than the standard uninstall.

There is a free version of Revo, but it only works on 32-bit apps.

MidKnyte: Thanks. The Instructions say to first be sure the program to be uninstalled (Fast Browser) is not running. How does one make that determination? ...wdc

Normally, you would open Task Manager and make sure the application isn't running. If it's Fast Browser, I would run Malwarebytes first.

According to my daughter, it is quite easy to add and remove an app from a windows 8. You will be able to install or unistall apps and programs from the Start screen or Control Panel.
