Software question
I have a question regarding a security software says that it is for 3-pc's or 3-devices. What determines the number of pc's or devices that a particular software can be installed? Does it just go by the serial code and nothing else? Can each pc be installed using a different e-mail even if located in another part of the country?

Different software publishers use different methods to handle multiple PC registration. Whatever method they use, it should not matter where the PC's or devices are located. It should also not matter if users of those PC's have different e-mail addresses. There may be a requirement to register the software and administer the installations through the software publisher's database. More information might be helpful on what specific software your are referring to.
For example, I have Norton Internet Security installed on several desktop and laptop computers located in various parts of the U.S. I administer all of the installations and renewals, and can add, remove, or transfer them as needed.
