fiber network problems
Hello everyone,
I have 2 Linksys SRW2024 switches, each with an MGBSX1 Gigabit SFP fiber transceiver installed. They are at a location with 3 buildings, and each switch is the main switch for a building. There is a fiber optic cable between the buildings. The buildings were previously linked via the fiber optic cable using 2~10Mbps Accton hubs, the Linksys units are replacements for those. However, I have not been able to get the link lights for the fiber optic transceivers to light up. Both are installed in the second slot transceiver in the switches, which should use the port 24 connection on the switch. If anyone has any ideas on what to check to get the fiber optic link working, the information would be appreciated.
thanks!

Possibly useful links, if you haven't already seen them:

Could try a different slot on one of the switches, and/or port 12 for one of them. Also, you could try testing the connection with a short patch cable and both switches next to each other.
