You use it for files other than .isos?
Yes, I use it to burn data files and photos.

When burning anything of size with cdburnerXP, like to dvd, I use 8X so all of it is burned to the disk, 16 X is just to fast for the burner to get it all on the disk and you get that fail message.
    Learned the hard way!!!

Ah ok. Write files/folders to disc gives you the option to burn to disc.

Hmm. AV just flagged the Imgburn download as a virus. Ah well. I'll stick to my other burner apps then.

I reduced the speed and it burned successfully but when I went to play the files on my computer, there was a very big lag before it eventually opened the file to play. I would like to convert these flv files to avi files so I can play them on my tv. Does anyone know a good freeware flv converter that I could use to convert them to avi files?

The only AV I have ever seen do this is McAfee.

JLS, check out this website for help with your conversion software, www.videohelp.com I've used them for years and am a member there for a few years.

Hmm. Virustotal has several AVs detecting the "OpenCandy". MBAM also detects it.

Does it have to be .avi? Handbrake can convert it to mp4. If you get Handbrake v9.3 or earlier, you can convert to .avi.
    https://handbrake.fr/
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_handbrake/4924/ - v9.3
    Run Handbrake
    Click Source - Open File
Browse to the file you want to convert and click Open

    Click Browse under Destination
Browse to target folder, enter desired converted file name.mp4 (or .avi), and click Save
Output Settings Container = MP4 (or .avi for v9.3)

    Click the green Start button

Ah. That's CDBurnerXP. I was talking about Imgburn. But good to know there is an alternate download.

FWIW, when I've needed/wanted something that had OpenCandy bundled with it, I ran the installer while the computer is offline. This stops the offerings OpenCandy makes because it operates only during the installation of the program it's bundled with.

Supposedly you can also run an installer that has OpenCandy with a /NOCANDY switch (from a command prompt) but I doubt many would ever do it that way (I wouldn't.)
