two email questions
1.How can I tell whether my Yahoo mail account (xxxx@yahoo.com) is POP or IMAP?
2. I use email with the same account on: a desktop PC with XP; an iPad with its own OS; and an Android 4.2.2 smartphone. I <believe> all three devices use a common memory on the Yahoo server and that deleting old email (say in the Incoming folder) from the desktop will simultaneously remove them from the iPad too. Is that correct?
Thanks. ..... wdc

1. Each device could be setup differently. It also depends if you are accessing the email via a browser or are using an email application.
2. Couldn't you test that in a matter of seconds
Again, it depends on how you are accessing the email via a browser or are using an email application. If you are using a browser for all three devices - then yes, deleting in one device is deleting it directly from the server.
POP accounts store the emails in a file on the device.
Compare the differences between POP and IMAP
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.
