    This has been a good thread for me. My next PC purchase will be a SSD based Mac that also runs Windows in Parallels. I did not know Apple had locked down TRIM to (basically) just their drives.

    When I purchased my 730s they were formatted ntfs, so that might be a problem with a any Mac computers.

    I don't think that's the problem if she already cloned the drive. The first step is to format it as Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
