If that was successful for you, are you going to move to build 10049?

Sounds like you got a bad download or a bad burn.
Try making the dvd again
When burning dvds from iso, I slow the burn down to 8X cause I have had weird things to happen when using any faster speeds.
Last week, I even had to slow a bootable cd down to 8X or was not bootable.
Reason a lot of data is being written and slowing it down, gives the burner time to write it to the disk.

Thanks Train. I downloaded direct to my PC. Took about three hours to complete. Don't know what number Build I got. Will it be possible to uninstall this OS?

What do you mean? You would have had to download the .iso and burn it to disc or make a bootable flash drive.
Will it be possible to uninstall this OS?
I really hope you didn't install Win10 over your main OS. You can try doing a Windows Rollback.

Well, the download is still build 9926 from my latest download.
Windows10_TechnicalPreview_x32_EN-US_9926.iso
Or
Windows10_TechnicalPreview_x64_EN-US_9926.iso
Then you have to go through the update process as we posted.

Windows 10 is still in Beta. You should have only been installing it on a test system. Oh well.

If you had made the recovery media, you could have reinstalled to OS.

I appreciate all responders. I have gained some knowledge from this attempt to see OS10. Frankly I was in over my head. I was about ready to ditch me PC anyway and get another one.
