[RESOLVED] HP 5520 Photosmart won't print
Friend has ,,I
what can you tell me about why my printer doesn't print the ink on paper. It's an HP 5520 Photosmart. The signal goes from my laptop to the printer, it makes all the correct printing sounds and spits out a blank sheet of paper. I've changed all HP cartridges except yellow. I've checked them out 5 times and nothing is blocking the ink. Suggestions?
I've googled all the stuff for her,, any suggestions,, i think it's win 7
she's run diagnosis, unplugged, reset cartridges etc

Sounds like the printhead is clogged. If she already tried the cleaning procedures, there's not a lot you can do unless you want to take apart the printer. I wouldn't do that if it's still under warranty, though.

Take a hammer to it, may feel better afterward and get a new printer.

Unless she prints lots of photos, a laser printer is the way to go.
