What type of files will the stand alone play? And what kind of disks?

The make and model of the DVD player you are using would help.

Might be easier to explain how to convert the files and burn to a standard DVD movie, playable on most stand alone systems, just in case the OP wants friends or family to also be able to play it on their systems as well.
I am away from home and typing this on a phone or I would explain it myself.

Winx hd video converter deluxe is an excellent video converter, it can convert almost anything to anything including dvd format. There is an Holyday special right now, where you can get the latest version, legally, for free. the cost is you provide an email address in exchange of a key: http://www.winxdvd.com/giveaway/

You get the latest version for free. However, you won't be allowed to get future updates. If you want those future updates, you either purchase the software or wait for the next giveaway.
I think that, even without future updates, this is a great deal. You get the full version for free.
