    TP ADAPTER

I have a Lenovo G500 running Win 8.1. In my home the internet connection runs good. But in two other homes the
connection fails a lot and I have to run the troubleshooter with says each time it has to reset the tp adapter. I know
this adapter is easy to replace in my Lenovo but when replaced will I have to go through a lot of configurations?
Is there a better tp adapter to buy then Lenovo's.

Probably a weak/marginal signal, run into that a lot in motels/hotels.
    So I use this answer.

I do have FN+whatever key on the F keys that kills the onboard wireless first.

I am only 8 feet from the router and it has a strong signal. I have the same problem at my sons home. Both use comcast routers.
Would a new adapter improve the problem and it is a simple plug in device but will I have to change a bunch of setting to change it.
    I have a Lenovo G500 laptop.

On board is With 802.11 b/g/n WiFi connectivity,

If you are using a USB adapter, yes Get a better one. When my onboard does not get, I pull out the one I linked in post #2.

Have you checked for interference from nearby routers that are on the channel?
    Use wirelessnetview and find out.
