WIN 98SE SERVICE PACK 2
I am trying to install a USB drive for Win 98se. I bought one that does not work. The seller says I must
have Service pack 2 installed to get the driver. I go to properties and is says Win 98 second edition.
Should Service Pack 2 also appear there, or do I not have it. If I do not have it can I download it
from someware?

As far as I can remember there was no actual thing called service packs for W98. SE.. Second Edition was the equivalent of SP1 and then there were just regular updates after that until it was discontinued.
There are some packages that users have made that include all the updates after the introduction of SE such as ..

As far as USB drivers for 98SE goes I found a number of sites on google that offer them..
eg-
http://www.technical-assistance.co.uk/kb/usbmsd98.php
But wait until others here chime in in case they know of sites that they are familiar with that will offer them.
VirtualDr email notices are not working.

Major geeks link does list the newer version of what i used for 98SE.
As for usb drivers for usb devices, remember for 98 each device had it own separate proprietary driver.
