    Norton Security

A family asked me what is the difference between Norton Security and Norton Security 2.0. She said she saw it advertised both ways. Is there a difference?

Security 2.0 seems to be the enterprise version

I use Norton Internet Security. Versions before 2009 were horrible, but after that it was completely re-written to use minimal resources and have a decent user interface. Current versions for home use should include the year.

Hi Train. I don't use Norton but she always has and still wants to. Train, why wouldn't you ever use Norton? She also wants to get the malwarebytes anti-malware premium "2.0" 3-user program. From what I could find, I don't believe the 2.0 is not the most current version? If not, after she would install it, would it update to the most current version or would she have to purchase it instead of buying the 2.0 version?

Disregard the malwarebytes question. I opened a seperate thread for that. Thanks for the help.

    I use MSE http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/w...tials-download
    on all my Windows computers.

    Malwarebytes
    https://www.malwarebytes.org/

The only place to get it. Other wise it most likely has garbage attached.
If they want the Pro version, I tell them go ahead and get it. Keeps me from having to clean up their computers. As it runs automatically which saves us all grief.

Right now, I am running Linux AntiX 13.2, not much garbage written for it, so I do not worry any about that.

By the way, Win 98 was harder to deal with for me.
