Hello all, how do I make windows 8.1, like Vista.
When I click start I get the programs etc.

Can I let my Wifes windows stay like 8.1??

How do I create an account for her please??

If you are asking how to get the old Start Menu, try Classic Shell.

If you want your wife's account to remain on 8.1, don't enable Classic Shell for her account.

How do I disable the classic start menu per user?
Open the General Behavior tab in the Settings dialog and find the checkbox "Start automatically for this user". Uncheck it.

Creating a new account is still basically the same. I would create a LOCAL administrator account for her.
