    Keep specific cookies-dump others?

I want to keep my remembered password, auto fill and ID cookies.
I want to dump all the other mess that's making my browsers run slow. How?

Which browser and operating system are you using?

IE will do what you want if you're using IE.
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

Right now I’m using Chrome. I also have Chrome Canary, Internet Explorer, and Firefox. I occasionally use all of them. My OS on this computer is Windows 7.

If IE will do it, I need to know the procedure.

And, if possible, the procedure to make other browsers do it.

I pick around on my main course plate. I eat the stuff I least like first and save my favorite part for last. I eat desert last but, between meals, I sometimes snack on various deserts, so I probably don’t miss out on anything.

I use CCleaner to keep login cookies I want and clear the rest of them out. You can do it manually by selecting the ones to keep but it also has an auto function to keep those as well. I do both. It works with all browsers and it's free.

    Thanks,

I’ve had CCleaner on previous computers (this one’s new) but don’t remember what it did about this. I’ll see about getting it again. I have SlimCleaner right now and haven’t figured out (poor tech support) how to keep it from obliterating everything.

As for what I think, I often wonder off into the woods, attract mosquitoes and lose my mind. Yesterday, I found it under a pile of leaves in the back yard so it’s hard to figure out what to, and what not to, think.
    How’s you cat?

IE 11 will do it. Click Tools|Delete Browsing History. On the next window check the first three boxes. Then Delete. You will see that the first box "Preserve Favorites Website Data" means that cookies from sites in your Favorites folder will not be deleted.
