How Do I Create Restoration CD's For a New PC
I am seriously considering a new PC. I like the look of the Dell XPS X8700 series. I believe that modern PC's do not come with restoration disks which are essential to me. I believe that the restoration information is on the hardrive now. What is the preferred way to get this restoration information off the hardrive and onto a set of CD's?
Also when reading the Newegg reviews the reviewer said "JUST REMEMBER to start it up, the first time, without an Internet connection. That way you will NOT be prompted to create a login with a Windows Microsoft Live ID"
What is Windows Microsoft Live ID and why should it be avoided?
thanks Mark

There is a recovery media creator application to either DVDs or a flash drive. It varies with each manufacturer. If it's under warranty, you can get a free set from Dell.

I'm not sure what their reasoning is, but I prefer not to tie my web account to my desktop.
