If you remove partitioning (use your hard drive as a whole) you'd get about 40GB free.

    Yes thought about that...

I stopped using firefox because of a few reasons, 1 being that flashplayer pluggin keeps freezing.

So Ive been back to internet expl and things have slowly got horrible with it too. Now every 5 seconds its trying to recover a page. Back to firefox to write this....

I'm so wiping these computers clean...but I still dont understand whats happening that its happening to two computers.

I'm fairly sure your troubles come from not having enough free space.
Programs will keep crashing when you only have 300MB or so of a free space.

You are probably right for downstairs desktop computer which THIS thread was about...I apologize for maybe mixing laptop in here as well. MY laptop is the one where the latest problems started slowing int exp. Anyway I reformatted my laptp which you helped clean too...finally had enough. I will have to reformat my desktop computer next BUT I'm waiting to see how the laptop responds for a bit. I went to my fathers and my email works fine. Must be something from a virus on both my puters. New installed windows...already started with script could cause computer to slow down message. I miss my ipad...(I've rid of wifi for health reasons)

    Broni,

Is it possible that something you and I did that is causing my problems accessing my outlook.com live.ca email account? Its been ever since you started helping me clean my computers. or maybe AVAST. I ran a network scan and it said my router is vulnerable to access from the web. This problem is driving me bonkers. I reformatted my laptop and started from scratch. Took a day but now I'm getting messages that I can't get into my email again. http://discussions.virtualdr.com/sho...75#post1480175

Are we talking here about two different computers?
    I'm getting really confused.

Yeah we fixed two computers. I think I may have figured out what is causing this. AVAST!

Ive uninstalled it for now and will see what happens. SO far so good.

Can you recommend another free antivirus?
