[RESOLVED] Rosewill KVMrkv-2P
Hi all
I have a rosewill kvm RKV-2P I've been using with no problems for the last several years
Recently started to do some painting had to disconnect the computers.
Main computer running Win XP
Secondary computer running win 7
Here's the problem after reconnecting the cables and booting the primary. the monitor
will just go analog /digital then black screen on switch will blink. (Samsung 23")
I can use the hotkeys to switch to window 7 and the screen is displayed
When I switch back the same issue.
connecting direct from computer to monitor no problem.
Rosewill web site was useless

It sounds like one of the ports on the KVM died. What happens if you switch the video ports on the KVM between the computers?

Hi JDC2000
Thanks for the quick reply good point
I was just having the same thought about swapping the connections between the 2 computers
I'll have to try that another day,as it is the usual thing it's behind the desk mounted to the wall
never an easy fix.I will post the outcome.thanks for the direction

Hi JDC200
Finally got around to checking my KVM switch, removed the box from behind my computer desk
Hooked it between 2 different computers no problem, was able to switch between PC 1 and PC 2.
I'll hook it up again before I remount it and see what happens will post back with results
