microphone and speakers for toshiba laptop

Any suggestions for microphone and speakers for toshiba laptop c655 with win 7 64b so i can use the sound recorder?

How portable do these need to be? You could just use a headset.

Yes, I use an inexpensive USB Logitech mic/headset combo for such things. Sounds fine plus eliminates feedback/echo through external speakers. Also good for Skype etc.

i use the one on the desk top to do this, but something is wrong there, and shuts down some times, so need to do it on the l top, use the mic to pick up some radio stuff.
