    WHY DOES ask. com freeze?

In the past i have used ask, com, not any more as it freezes FF and closes any idea?

Win 7 64 b Toshiba top, and they are to be trust worthy sites

just installed 33.0, have no scripting and some other security items on board in FF

it's link on a google search that causes it, stay away i guess, i do not have the tool bar

If it is not in add/remove, then use mbam and adwcleaner to remove that garbage Ask sticks on out computers.

when i downloaded it i read the eula, the file was saved to downloads, i scanned it with mabytes, i hit open , selected scan, and it started, and completed as per the log. it is not installed in add/remove

so now if i run the scan again and hit clean?

i downloaded from bleep also. seems to be the same thing except, exe? will install on pc?

i didn want to screw up the registry, bit i see it found "ask"

so i hit clean, and probably have to reboot?

I run mbam weekly. Adwcleaner maybe once a month.
Adwcleaner does not install, but runs from the folder you saved it to.

Adwcleaner you have re-download each time as it does not have a updater in it.

It has gotten so bad that is whaat I now do to protect my computers.

So i had this junk and deleted it. Assuming a system image could have had that on it on an external hard drive, do i delete that image or?

You can if you wish. I would make a new image now while the junk is gone.
