    my thinking on windows 10

Aloha, loaded win10 on a spare disk drive on my desktop. Other then moving links around, it seems to be a mix of Windows 7 and 8.1
I was kind of thinking that there was going to be a major change. But having the best of 7 and 8.1 is definitely OK with me.

It's what the successor to 7 should have been.

I have read rumors that the upgrade from 8.1 to 10 will be very inexpensive or possibly even free. While I have my doubts I do hope that's true. I'm not particularly enamored with my 8.1 tablet and I hope to upgrade that if possible.

Yep, seems like the race to the bottom (i.e., netbooks) is back. HP now has a Windows 8 tablet for $99 and notebook for $199 ... and both include one year of Office 365 and 60 minutes of Skype calls each month.

The 7-inch HP Stream 7 is $99 while the 8-inch HP Stream 8 is $149 and comes with 200MB of LTE data each month.

The 11-inch HP Stream 11 notebook is $199, and likewise, the 13-inch HP Stream 13 is $229.

Microsoft and HP are trying hard to stem the tide to Chromebooks.

I agree, should have bypassed win8, even though I have it customized and set up to a acceptable format.
I hope it's free, I'd do it just to get away from 8.1

So far I like it very much even though it's not even an alpha release yet. Extremely fast and stable so far.
