    Mint

Im currently on xp but finding it hard to get a reliable browser

ffox crashes every 60 seconds... even the once reliable slim browser is crashing now.

Im thinking of throwing care into the wind and installing Linux Mint

Having looked at a few U Tubes on linux Mint seems a popular choice.

Probably have to give up my white rabbit photoshop...
but there is always ... Gimp !

Im just so tired of the struggle with browsers on XP ... its time to move on !

Mint 17 is good. Actually like it.

Test it first using a cd or USB stick that is bootable.
I use a USB 3.0 8GB stick. But my BIOS does allow me to boot from USB.

XP over 2 years old? A clean install like I did took care of that problem for me. I could get to 3 years, but what a fight.

I m xp home edition so I believe I am 32 bit .... think all XP home edit are 32 BIT

Ive got most of my documents copied over on a HD usb

I just need to get some small files from the desk top copied over there

then I need to download mint os

I plan to install it ..... cant be bothered burning a disc and trying it out...

I think Ill go for it as its become a nightmare using xp ... browsers likE f fox are crashing every 2 mins... I can hardly find a browser that works .

I think Ill get things in order and then just go for it.

If things go pear shaped I can always buy a new comp with the latest windows o s .

I ve looked at a few videos and Im quite impressed with linux.........

.... think Ill give it a go !

Download, make the cd and install from it.
Then you will have your OS cd.
Win 98 was harder to deal with.
