    Skype on smart phone

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this thread.

I have a Google Nexus 5 smartphone. Can anyone tell me how I can delete my Skype call history on this device? The OS is Android 4.4

As always, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Log out Skype on your Android device.
Go to the settings of your Android device.
    Go to "Applications" and click
Tap the Skype and and tap "Clear Cache" and "Delete Data".

I did that and it appears to "Clear Cache" and "Delete Data". When I sign back in to Skype however all the Skype history is still there as before! I tried shutting off my device and still the history is not cleared. Is there some other setting which should be changed?

Hmm. It seems like the history is getting pulled from the server. Did you try clearing your history on a Windows client first, then uninstall/reinstall?

If that still doesn't work, you probably want to look at the Skype forums and see if there is a better solution.

In the meantime, you will have to delete your chat history on your computer, then remove the skype app from your phone then re-install the Skype app. (unless someone else has found a better work around)
