Head scratcher concerning new build and front usb not working. Win 7 x64
This is a fresh build with win 7 x64 running just sweet. Everything seems to run fine until I want my front usb's hooked up. It's a standard header and all the usb ends are separate and yes i know which is which. So I run my power, my neg, my pos and my gnd. that order left to right. The dummy pin is on the top right. I am running this through a header connector block to save the pain of hooking each wire individually in the case (not much room)
Well I get device not recognized every time. I have tried a few flash drives. So I went ahead and hooked up an old card reader to it with a usb port on it and guess what? Yep it works just fine.
Any clue as to this issue?
Oh and this usb port that I'm using for the front came from another pc and I know it works
Thanks

And it should be the other way around, right to left.

ok that wont happen if the dummy pin is top right not bottom left, I as well matched it to the card reader / usb that I tested on the header (the colors) to make sure that somewhere I hadn't missed something.
5 pins on top
4 on bottom on the header on the board.
Looks like so.
I do have the order correct and that is directly from the mobo manual.
It seems that you think i want to know what the end of a usb cable is and I know its reversed while facing you. This is off the header on the board where I am hooking it up to.

Nevermind, I guess when I pulled it from the other pc the usb socket was waiting to be moved to just quit. It's bad. I swapped it with a different one and it works just fine now.
