    Hard Drive Backup

Backed up my Asus HDD using Acronis Home 2012. Tried to validate the backup but could not
I checked the drive in my Computer and it showed the backup result to the F drive to be "OS (C).
Have I just backed up the operating system and not the files/folders? As always TIA.

It would have taken a backup of the entire C: partition.

If the validation failed, delete the backup you made and run another backup.

Thanks for your quick answer--an answer to something that I have never experienced. I can't say the validation failed because I wasn't satisfied it ever "ran". To be sure, please tell me where validation is found in 2012.

    To validate an entire backup:

Select the backup to validate, click the gear icon to open the Operations menu and select Validate. If the selected backup is password-protected, Acronis True Image Home 2012 will ask for the password in a dialog box.
After you enter the correct password the program will start the validation procedure.
When the validation is complete, you will see the result in the line below the backup's box.
