[Inactive] How to uninstall "Search Assistant"?
I’m running Windows 7 Premium and use Malware Bytes Pro, AVG free version and Super Anti-Spyware free version.
Somehow “Search Assistant” got downloaded into my laptop and took over IE 11, Chrome and Mozilla. I uninstalled the program and managed to get IE and Chrome open to their right start pages. Also, when I click on “new tab” that now opens as it should with most visited pages
However Mozilla is still a mess. I made the change to open it to my start page but when I click on the + new tab, search assistant opens along with other ads and video pop-ups.
I’ve searched for “search assistant” with no results, it’s uninstalled and Malware-Bytes found 2 “PUPS’s” which I deleted out of quarantine.
Is there a way or removal tool to clean this malware? I was thinking of uninstalling / reinstalling Mozilla Firefox.
Thanks,
Mike
