I tried to use the system restore to go back to last week but there's an error every time. What do I do now?

surfbug--
1) Try running System Restore in Safe Mode.
2) Run SFC /SCANNOW from an elevated Command Prompt--IOW as Administrator.
3) Run rstrui.exe from a Command prompt.

Sorry but there are no general purpose registry repair apps or routines I could ever recommend. If you read the rambling description they give on that page, they actually say nothing specific. I would not touch that auto repair with a ten foot pole!
Do you make drive images of your system?

Why are you trying to do a system restore in the first place?
Did you try all of Welshjim's suggestions in post #2 or not?
Did you try booting from the Win7 DVD and running system restore? See Option 2.

You used 2 different backup programs? If you made a backup with EaseUS, you need to restore with EaseUS.
