install of win7 x64... both HW and os related. Cannot install
I run into a point where it asks me for drivers because the sata drives are not recognized. The closest I could come is the pre-install driver for vista x64 but of course it isn't signed for win 7. Now I Did have 7 on it before the hard drive crashed but I remember having to do some very deep research to get the issue resolved and unfortunately I don't have days this time.
The motherboard is a ga-m55plus-s3g (2.1)
This is motherboard related absolutely. I remember it from before and cannot find the disk I made.
Win7 x64 install
Thank you

got the issue semi resolved. For some reason win7 only asks about drivers when raid is off. I find this strange considering I wanted 2 independent drives now. When I try to disable all the drives but the primary it then asks me for the drivers but adding them to an array has allowed me to install without. This is whacked!
I guess I add a 3rd drive to put the other OS on.
Oh well. So go ahead and mark this as solved

There wasn't an option to use AHCI? That would be the preferred setting. Otherwise, you would use the IDE or Compatibility mode for SATA. That would not require extra drivers.
