Hi all!
Last month I held an event and the photographer who has a Nikon 300D photographed it.
Out of all the photos, 80 of them couldn't open. Windows says they are corrupted. I have tried ALL freeware apps to fix this issue and couldn't resolve it.
I have attached 3 photos for example.
Any help will be dearly appreciated!
PS
I read somewhere that the header may be corrupted but I have no idea what to do with this info and if this is the issue...
Usually when I get photos like the , who ever removed the graphics from the chip, had previously failed to use safely remove.
Chkdsk run on the memory chip has fixed the problem for me.
Never tried fixing the graphics, so hope someone can point you to one.

Do they open on any other computer? Can the photographer open them? If yes, how? He/she should send you new copies.
Is .jpg the native extension of these photos?
P.S. All I see is a small black box with X.

Those are very, very small sizes for jpgs from a D300, typical size would be 4-6mb.
You should ask for full size jpgs, and assuming he was a professional, he would almost always shoot in RAW (Nef..), so copies of the RAW files as well.
