Is it new? If new, did you use Disk Management to set partition and format it?

I've made a small omission The os is installed in drive 0 and is fine drive 1 is not recognized at all in windows or BIOS, and that is the issue I have.
I need instruction on how to navigate this Rig Bios, and enable the drive.
This post is about enabling the drive IN bios, that's where your help is needed!!

I've checked the BIOS, but I just don't know how to enable it....drive 1 is not recognized at all in windows or BIOS
Did you make sure the SATA port for drive 1 is on/enabled?

    Check the manual. pg 83.
    ftp://ftp.dell.com/Manuals/all-produ...uide_en-us.pdf

    SATA Drives 0
    through 5
    (On default)
Enables or disables drives attached to the SATA connectors on
    the system board.
    • Off — The drive attached to the interface is disabled.
    • On — The drive attached to the interface is enabled.

thx for the manual, I'll study it and report back.
And no I did not enable drive 1 in Bios because I didn't know how to,
maybe the manual will help matters.

    Cool

    Here is what's happening.
In BIOS Setup I enabled all the drives to ON
    There are 5 drives listed.
After exiting the BIOS The boot sequence showed that
drive 2-3-4 where not found (press F1 to continue)
apparently drive 5 is the drive that's registered and working!
At the center of the motherboard there are 4 risers + 2 more above.
one for drive o and the other for the DVD ROM.
I plugged the data cable on the lower left and reentered the BIOS setup.
and disabled drive 2-3-4 seved the mods and rebooted
that drive 2-3-4 not found disappeared from the POST menu.
In Windows the second drive is recognized and working properly
One problem still remain the booting this Rig it takes a lot longer and it needs to be fixed.

the 250 Hdd has been tested and is good
250GB is pretty small nowadays. Is it a used drive? What is the make/model? What did you use to test the drive?

I didn't test the 250 properly, Acronis disk director formatted it for me,
and reported as a healthy drive, all my important "stuff"
is burned and stored on my external 2 Terra drive anyway.
everything in my computer. are copy of original stuff.
so if the drive go south, it doesn't matter much to me.
