    Lost thumbnails

    Hi there,

This seems stupid, but here goes.

I have lost some jpg / mpg / avi etc thumbnails in just one folder. I Googled and found a Run/CMD/regsvr32 shmedia.dll and regsvr32 shimgvw.dll command and that almost appears to have done the trick.

But when checking just now, half the thumbnails are showing, the other half are not! F5 does not bring them all to life. What else can I do?

    Thanks

    Rex

PS: Since posting this a few minutes ago, I have checked the folder again and they have all gone!
What if the Hokey Cokey IS what it's all about?

Anyone? Most folders are showing thumbnails but this one is not. This folder has a combination of jpg and short avi/wmv/mpg clips. Previously, they all showed thumbnails, now zilch.

I have Googled and checked that various reg hack, but they will not reappear.

    Grateful for any advice.

    Thanks

    Rex

Windows normally creates thumbnails automatically. If they are being created in all other folders but this one try making a new folder and moving the media from the old one into the new one.

Also have a look in folder options > view and see if "always show icons, never thumbnails" is unchecked.
