    USB hub power source

    If I plug a USB cable with a standard 5 volt 2 amp portable USB power supply/charger on one end into one of the ports on a 4 port USB hub will that distribute power to the other devices plugged in? Would this by definition and function become a powered USB hub?

    VirtualDr email notices are not working.

    A powered hub has 500ma availabe at each port. A non powered would share the power across all ports.
