yjabiven--As mentioned I can (usually) copy selected text of a GMail message but not selected text on the GMail Inbox page. I can copy the whole page in both situations by using Edit|Select all|Copy.
Please post a screenshot of the webpage with the 4 words you cannot copy in a GMail message.
Can you copy other text on that page?

yjabiven----
Well, as explained the "Hello Virtual Dr Forum" must be a bitmap. And I suspect it really is not part of the new message, but rather part of a template for all email messages from the VDr forum.

Hello
@ Jim
I suspect it really is not part of the new message.
No I wrote it on purpose.
I tried on other web sites , on other email services : no problem.
That is the most astonishing thing about this whole business.
And clearly I can work without copying gmail .
But why does this operation put WORD out of order ? That is mind-boggling
Regards

Gmail - New Message - Writing Hello Virtual Dr Forum - Dragging the mouse on Hello Virtual Dr Forum - Copy
On a WORD page - Paste .... and that puts WORD out of order

Those steps are working fine here.
(Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, Internet Explorer 11, and Office Ultimate 2007 ... with all updates applied).
Try doing a repair on Office: Click the Windows Start button, type in appwiz.cpl and press [Enter]. Right-click "Microsoft Office <-whatever version you have->", select Repair and click Continue.
