Link on unrelated website linked to me.

I was on Leo Notenboom's page today called: How safe is it to let my browser save my passwords?

There was a link on his page to Ebay with someone selling Oregano Oil. It was a picture of the oil that I bought and another picture of some other Oregano oil that I looked at. I just bought some Oregano Oil the other day from Ebay. I clicked on it and it showed me the same guy that I bought the Oregano Oil from. How could this ad be on this page of Leo's?

How can this link bleed over to another unrelated website?
Note: My questions may be to help others
    Thanks, JB

Paid him to place the link there, it is on the ad server and you do not have ad blocker for your browser.

Also, tracking cookies. Sellers and advertisers share (or sell) each other info on what sites internet users have been to, what they looked at or purchased and then use that data for targeting potential new customers.

Tracking cookies retain that info, anonymously.. not identifying you by name.. and then others get access to the data on the cookie and use it to show you ads for things you might want to buy.

Part of the reason I use Ccleaner more often than daily.

I use it to just not every day. Thanks. I find it very invasive that this ad thing can carry over to other websites. When are they going to show up on my TV or Cell phone???

When you use those devices to access the internet.

Cookies are getting ever harder to dump. Ever hear of the "evercookie"? There are multiple ways to try to keep your browsing habits tracked... This page is nearly 4 years old. Imagine how good they are at tracking us now! http://samy.pl/evercookie/

Those type of ads are the single most effective ads at converting, so it makes sense we see a lot of them. If you don't like them, just search for half a dozen things you won't mind seeing ads for. I suggest expensive cameras, but lingerie or exotic vacations might be nice, too.
