Windows error code 80096004 while downloading update for 8.1

I was able to download and install the update on my laptop but when I went to download it to my computer clubs laptop it gave me an error code of 80096004. Anyone have a hint for me?

Thank you very much jseidel. I really don't know what fixed it but I downloaded all the fixes that were listed in that Microsoft piece and one of them did the trick.

You are most welcome. A question: Are you running Office 2003? From my reading it seems to be an incompatibility issue with what is now a ten year old version of Office.
