Since Win 7 no longer uses Outlook express you can use Windows Live Mail which has replaced it.

Here are two methods.. First is to export all the data from Outlook express to a thumb drive and then import it to Windows Live Mail via each programs import/export function..

Or you can copy all the relevant Outlook Express folders from XP directly to a thumb drive and import them to Windows mail this way..

Fink already posted links of how to import OE to WLM. Did you install Windows Live Mail yet?

They don't exist on 7 or 8. Read my links above. You need to import them with Live Mail.

The last version of a Microsoft email program that used those .DBX files was Outlook Express 6.0, which was released more than 12-1/2 years ago.

Here is an excellent list of articles relating to Windows 7. http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/5391/...w-to-articles/

I know it's a lot. My recommendation is to skim the article titles and pick just what you need.
