    Resolved [RESOLVED] KEYBOARD BAD

I have a Lenvo G 500 Laptop. I spilled a small amount of coffee at the very bottom of the keyboard. Afterwords if worked fine.
This was a week ago. I turned it on today and to my surprise some of the keys don't work. They are in the area of the G key.
I spilled the coffee at the very base of the keyboard nowhere near the G key. Can this be fixed or does Lenovo supply replacement
keyboards? This laptop is less then one year old and still in warranty. What can I do?

It depends with how you take your coffee. If you take it with sugar and cream, that might be the cause of the current malfunction. The sugar may have gotten there and made the keys sticky. Nasty but fixable in most cases. You'd have to clean the keyboard up or use a can of compressed air. If that doesn't work, the best option would be to call Lenovo and inquire directly from the about the replacement keyboards

The coffee was black, no sugar or cream and a little got into the base of the keyboard
by the space bar. The letters T and Y and the backspace key do not work. These
are at the top of the keyboard. I do not see how these were affected. Is it possible
I did not damage it and it is a warranty problem? Also how do I find the PN number?

Possible, but not probable. Lenovo won't honor a warranty claim anyway because you spilled liquid on it.

Also how do I find the PN number?
Remove your current keyboard. There should be a PN on the back.

I sent my laptop into Lenovo under warranty. They replaced the keyboard at no charge. I am not
sure if my coffee spill did any damage. Lenovo was very quick about the repair. The laptop works great.
There was no mention of a charge.

Great to hear that Lenovo is still taking good care of its customers. Thanks for letting us know.
