Recovery Disk?
Now that I have a new PC without an OS disk, is there a way to create a recovery disk? I've always had the original Microsoft Windows CD so I've never had the *opportunity* to have to create one.
Thanks,
Nancy

Post the make and model of the computer. Then the proper instructions can be found.

Thank you for the link SpywareDr. I have a Lenovo H535 Desktop - how do I know if it's the same as the "Think" system? It certainly has Windows 8 loaded and came with a CD for Win 8.1 Drivers.
Thank you!

You can also download the Win8 iso using your product key.

Oops, sorry. Took a stab at the model and missed.
The Lenovo.com site seems to be dog-slow this morning. The only thing I can come up with right now is you might try their Tech Support Call Center.

Hi,
Now that I have the Dell 660 desktop (returned the Lenovo since the DVD was bad), I will try out Midknyte's suggestion. By the way, what does ISO stand for? International Standard ??
Thanks,
Nancy

Dell also has a recovery disc utility.

.iso is derived from the ISO9660 file system of CDs. International Organization for Standardization (ISO)
