[RESOLVED] Juniper, Java and Windows 8.1: can't access my desktop remotely
Hi All,
We use Juniper to access our PCs at the office. I know that Java is involved but I'm not sure what it does exactly. It's been working perfectly on Windows XP Pro and Windows 7. Now that we've moved to Windows 8 and 8.1, we're having issues.
On my new PC running Windows 8.1, I installed the latest Java and then tried to access my PC at work via Juniper. I get the following message:
This application will be blocked in a future Java Security update because the JAR file Manifest does not contain the permissions attribute. Contact Publisher for more info.
I've done searches on that and found one thread that said to install both old Java and new 32-bit and 64-bit (with restarts in between) but that didn't work.
I currently have Java 7u51 32-bit and Java 7u51 64-bit installed.
I can't figure out if this is a Juniper issues or Java.
Thanks,
Nancy
