Recover files from Ghost Image
Hi All
My Vista laptop died and now have one with Windows 8. I want to recover the data files from a Ghost 14 image. They show in my external storage as V2.i extensions.
I am looking for a viewer that will allow me to recover these files. Help please

Ghost14 wouldn't be able to backup Win8, but it might allow you to view existing backups. That's still your best shot.

Idea #2
Bought a older working computer, installed XP sp3 on it.
Yes I did not hook it up for internet at all.
Installed my version of Ghost and used the Ghost Explorer to dig out what I wanted and saved to a USB hdd.
Used the USB hdd to transfer the files to the new pc.
Like I said, just a idea/option as I do have pc recycle places where I can pick up working PC's without a OS installed.

Good idea. Ghost 14 will work on a Win7 system also.
