    Resolved [RESOLVED] Creating a desktop shortcut with Windows 8.1

    I've installed my Office product Office 2010 but can't get windows to let me create a shortcut on the desktop. In fact, I can't even see the program in program files (x86). As I know it's clearly a 32bit program i bought. Why isn't each part of Office showing in that file?

    The Office 2010 EXE files are located here-> C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14

    Right click and Send To Desktop should work.
    If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

    Thanks Steve. That worked. Both excel and word on desktop as shortcuts.

    Yep! I can't wait to get my desktop back with Windows 7 on it. This Windows 8.1 is driving me round the bend. LOL
