To Automatically Forward Yahoo (Free) Emails from Specific Senders to another Account
Hi,
I have a Free Yahoo account that I have been using for years and years. As time goes by, it has become a magnet for spams. The situation is getting so bad that I can't stand it anymore. I have a new free Yahoo account setup. I want to find a way to configure Yahoo to forward emails from my contact list ONLY to the new account, so I won't get the spams. But it seems to be impossible for the free Yahoo version. Do you guys know of a way? I have done a lot of research and it seems that if I use yPOP to get Yahoo mail via a desktop email cleint, like Outlook, then I can do what I want. But I am very confused and not clear at all as to how to do it. Can anyone shed lights on this?

BlackBeanie: In the for what it's worth department...
If you're not too connected to the Yahoo universe, you might consider switching to Google (Gmail.) Google offers many services for free and those services integrate with smart phones, tablets and computers. I have my calendars, email and contacts with me where ever I go. I still have a couple of Yahoo addresses for specific purposes but I learned some time ago the Yahoo way of doing things is just not very handy.
Anyway, just thought that since you mentioned you were starting over with a new email address, you might consider another approach...

The part that I am not clear on is actually not the Outlook part but yPOP and how it work with Yahoo and Outlook to get it to do what I want to do.
Anyway, it's way too complicated for me. I have thought up a work around. I will setup Yahoo to automatically put mails from senders in my contact list to one folder - my "real" inbox so to to speak. At least it will make cleaning out the spams easier. Hopefully, after a while of the spams will decrease.
Han, thank you for the suggestion. I know most people rave about gmail but I happen to dislike gmail - to each his own, I guess.

The forwarding is actually reasonably simple.
yPOP allows you to receive Yahoo e-mail using Outlook, instead of having to access it through a web browser. Once Outlook has refeived the Yahoo e-mail, it handles the forwarding based on rules that you set up.

Even new yahoo version has option to forward emails to a particular mail id.
>Go to settings >Select accounts>click edit >and enter your email address in forwarding box to which you want to forward.
or you can install outlook to use all the features and get rid of spam emails.
