Hi Broni,
I tried 2 times with the System Restore, the same error still exists.
One time with the Restore Point you told me to create. It does not work.
So, I created another Restore Point next day, and it does not work.
Could there be a malware (before the clean-up) that destroyed something in Windows?

Hi Broni,
Thanks for suggesting to re-load Win-XP.
My concern is that by re-loading, I may have to re-install all my programs again.
Anyway, for the time being this Restore problem is not too troublesome. And I shall be moving my stuff to a Win-7 box later on (to run in XP mode) before Microsoft kills all support of Win XP.
Please consider this case of Conduit - Visual Bee Search closed as this problem has been fixed with your kind and patient assistance.
Here is my big T-H-A-N-K Y-O-U, Broni.

If you don't want to go for repair installation I suggest great substitute, which I personally use and it's actually better than system restore.

Good luck and stay safe
