DNS Server not responding:
Hi,
Today I tried to log onto my network at work with my laptop and it showed as connected with good signal strength but would not load any websites and would eventually go to a message stating "DNS Server not responding"
I log onto this network everyday Monday-Friday and today is the first time I got this warning.
What does this mean and what can I do to correct it?
Thanks

Does your workplace have an It staff/person? If so, check with them. If you are the IT staff/person, the first step would be to power off the modem and/or router, wait 1-2 minutes, and power them back up, modem first, then router if they are separate.

And if your DNS servers are still not responding, you might try changing them to:
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
Which are Google's free DNS servers.
PS - Don't forget to jot down your current DNS server IP addresses first though.

Thank you for all the help. As I logged on today, the problem somehow corrected itself.
