I always feel that Win ME is a prototype / test product for Win XP and Vista is a prototype / test product for Win 7. I am having the same feeling now about Win 8. So far I am very happy with Win 7 and can't find a compelling reason to upgrade. I'll wait for the next, more polished, version, Win 9?

I'll adopt the next OS when it comes out too. For now it doesn't take much for me to upgrade; I'm comfortable trying out new OS'.

So far it looks like Windows 8 is a bigger flop than Vista.
Usage share at the end of the first four months:- Windows Vista: 4%
- Windows 7: 9.7%
- Windows 8: 3%

No surprise; the average user is not buying pc's/notebooks/tablets; they are buying i-phones like all their friends. Most of the people I work with use their smart phones for FB, twitter and the internet. The company I work for is slowly introducing new software/hardware and it is unbelievable how inept people are at learning anything new. In the mean time I am going to enjoy using the various OS' that I have. My net book is getting long in the tooth; it would be nice if lack of interest will lower the price of a Surface Pro enough for me to pick one up to play around with.
