Besides Powerdvd software.. is there Other better software?

Bought PowerDVD12 for my BlueRay discs and regular last December and I am not very happy with the software ..

Takes FOREVER to come up and 'kick in" ... It has this godawful advertising plus that I wish I could turn off called Movie Info or Movie Zoom ? where they want you to write a comment on upcoming dvd's etc ..

With my other plain dvd's I have had Powerdvd 4 5 and six all good .. until I made the major upgrade to 12 .. but with the disc i nthe drawer I have to manually load up the player even though in advanced they have all these work arounds for avi and bd-r and bd and what ever too complicated ..

Plus I will Probably never own 3D -- I wish to turn off all that as well .. remove it from the major tool bar ..

Bottom Line ,.. what else or Who else has a reputable Program for playing back Blue Ray and SD discs..??

There is a way to make VLC player Blu Ray capable..

    http://forum.videohelp.com/threads/3...tly-in-VLC-2-0

.. but it takes a bit of work.

    Here are the files needed..

    http://vlc-bluray.whoknowsmy.name/

Instructions are also in the first link. Read the whole thing.. it spans a couple of versions of VLC.

The makers of VLC approve of this method.
    Don't believe everything you think.
