Recorded video movies which wont play.
I have recorded a number of movies to a small external hard drive using a PVR which exports in the Ext2 file system..
Using the Ext2 Volume Manager on my computer I have transfered the files to a 1.5tb WD External harddrive NTFS file system.
Now in Windows Explorer some of them show as 0 length mpg files and some display their true size. However they all display a file size when viewed at the command prompt in Win XP.
None of them will play on my computer using VLC. and they do not appear in the list of files in WD Media Player.
All efforts to play or delete these movies have failed - but they are using up space on the WD Harddrive.
It would appear to me that the movies have been transferred to the WD External Harddrive but they are somehow blocked.
I would like to play the movies if someone can explain how.
If this is not possible - why? and how can I remove/delete the problem files without destroying the other files on the drive????

Make and model of the PVR used would be helpful.
