    Resolved [RESOLVED] DVD+R size

    Hi there,

I have recently converted a 7 part TV series from vob to avi and am trying to burn it to a DVD+R. Using CD Burner XP, the info tells me (as does selecting all the files and selecting Properties) that the total size is 4507 mb (ie 4.5gb.)

But when I insert my normal, blank DVD+R disk (4.7gb) I receive a message that that says 'Required, Writable Disk, 4.40 gb free' and 'Present, Writable DVD+R, 4.38gb' (in red.)

Don't know how to overcome this. I have tried other disks from the cake, but always the same message.

I would post a screen shot but since VDr upgraded, I can do that!

    Any suggestion greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Rex

Don't know if it is a 'Dooh! moment but I figured that if the DVD says 4.7gb, that is what I can fit on. Now that I have reduced the avi files in size so the total compilation is just less than 4.4gb, it is burning.
