Need help with CD/DVD Burning software, PLEASE!

    Hello,

I really could use some suggestions on a decent CD/DVD burning software. I just struggled with the free trial of Nero Burning Rom 12. What a nightmare! I was surprised because I had used a much earlier version of Nero many years ago and was pleased with it. No way will I spend $50 on it.

I'm not a big audiophile. I would be using it maybe once a month, if that. I would need it to do 3 things:
    1) Copy CD/DVD's
    2) Make my own playlist & burn
    3) Burn a lightscribe label

Free is always good. But I'm more than willing to pay...just not a ton.

Thanks very much. I anxiously await your suggestions!

    Don

Don, which OS are you using? Windows Vista, and Windows 7 both have DVD burning capabilties. If you want something more elaborate but easy to use, I would suggest cdburnerxp.

For basic burning, you can use http://infrarecorder.org/

I don't use lightscribe, but they have a downloads section:
    http://www.lightscribe.com/DownloadS...ows/index.aspx

Not sure what format of playlist you want, but this one is free:
